First Day of Kindergarten: Premier jour de la maternelle

Today after 3 years of grappling over which was the best school for Riesse. She starts KINDERGARTEN. She is attending French Immersion! Unfortunately because we were unsure she has missed the beginning of the week, but we believe we have the very best choice at this point and are happy to go forward. Most of her neighborhood friends will be in school with her, and most of them are also taking FRENCH. I heard a rumor that her teacher has a magic necklace. When she is not wearing it she speaks English, but when she puts it on, she can only speak FRENCH (adorable). I can't wait to hear this little cutie speaking FRENCH!!!

16 Months 2 Days

Shortly after Riesse learned to walk (5 days)...she broke the bottom portion of her leg. It was very sad to see her with the cast, but it didn't slow her down for long...Soon she was walking around, and playing just like before. She loved to dance and spin with the cast on. Toward the end, she fell because of the cast, and bumped her chin...she also got stitches in her chin. What a horrible month for her...we are very glad it is over. She hardly cared, its probably much more difficult for the parents.

Riesse's cast may be cute, but unfortunately she could not enjoy the 4th of July festivities so well...casts and water don't mix. She enjoyed what she could though...and she got to see Mesa again.
